Update 05-23-11

May showers bringing more May flowers! I hope to get some animal pictures posted soon.

Here's a lettuce seedling that I planted last week

and domestic ones, too!

A flowering pear tree that we planted last year is now blooming.

Update 05-10-11

"April showers bring May flowers!" Here are some pictures:

The willows are starting to weep!


Our jasmine is flowering inside.


Daddy planted potatoes in trenches this year.


He also planted peas.


While I was uncovering our strawberries, I ran into this Northern Red-bellied snake. Apparently they eat slugs and bugs, and there were a lot around it, so it must've been feasting.


New raspberry shoots are coming up!


I uncovered the strawberries and they're coming up as well!

Sweet William has come back.


Mama planted these two years ago. They came up around the trees like fairy rings.


There are also some scilia from before we moved here.

Babies Update and More New Babies!

The bunnies have now opened their eyes and Ambrose has been taking them upstairs to take pictures and get a little exercise!
"I see camera. Hmmmm... Is it good to nibble on?"


There are 7 bunnies -- 3 blue and 4 black.


We also got lambs yesterday! They're Suffolk lambs - mainly bred for the market. They produce excellent meat. We are going to feed them on a high protein diet so they will produce a lot of red meat and less fat. We took them home on our trailer and while moving them into our pen, one of them escaped. The one that escaped we had named Ricky because he behaves just like our dog did. They are now all safe in our pen!
